You'll learn and laugh with Margaret Clauder,
aka THE Bookworm!

Margaret is a well known storyteller, puppeteer,
and ventriloquist in the North Texas area who has
been performing full time since 1991. In her program,
stories like Sylvester and the Magic Pebble by William
Steig and Kat Kong by Dave Pilkey come to life! With
skillful ventriloquism, storytelling, and fun magic,
Margaret brings children stories to life!

THE Bookworm is a hit! This is a character Margaret
has performed for many years in North Texas schools
and libraries. THE Bookworm is a life size, lovable
character who loves reading. Kids have heard the
term 'bookworm' and with this show, they will finally
see one. Dust off the library card because
THE Bookworm inspires readers!

All children love animals and animal stories.
Our popular “Wild About Reading” program has
been re-imagined in “Elephant Tales”. Children
will laugh as they learn in this brilliant program
that appeals to a wide age range from
PK – 5th grades. Important concepts such as
“what is an endangered animal” and “why do
animals become extinct” will be learned in a
fun and engaging way. Margaret’s brilliant
puppetry and ventriloquism skills will be put
to their ultimate test as she manipulates 9
animal puppets while telling the delightful
rhyming tale “Stand Back Said the Elephant,
I’m Going to Sneeze!” Children (and adults)
will learn interesting animal facts such as
“Which animal has the most bones in its neck,
a giraffe or a mouse? Careful, the
answer may astound you!

The Summer Reading Program is brought to you by the Friends of the Culpeper County Library. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Paul & Karen Laski for their support.

Thank you!
